This policy explains what information PoolPro collects, why we use it, how it may be shared, and the choices available to you.

1. Overview

PoolPro is a carpooling application designed to help people offer, discover, request and coordinate shared rides. This Privacy Policy applies to the PoolPro mobile application and its related services.

2. Information we collect

Depending on the features you use, PoolPro may collect the following information:

Account and profile data

Your Google account identifier, name, email address and profile photo through Google Sign-In. You may also provide a phone number, gender, company email and profile or verification details.

Ride information

Ride offers, join requests, pickup and destination details, dates, times, seats, fare estimates, ride status, vehicle information and related ride history.

Location information

Pickup and destination locations entered or selected on the map. If permission is granted, device location may be used to help select an accurate point.

Technical information

Basic device, network, authentication, app-interaction and diagnostic information processed to operate, secure and improve PoolPro.

3. How we use information

  • Create and maintain your PoolPro account and profile.
  • Authenticate you securely through Google Sign-In.
  • Display, match and coordinate ride offers and ride requests.
  • Present ride details and fare estimates.
  • Support trust and communication between relevant drivers and passengers.
  • Prevent fraud, misuse and security incidents.
  • Troubleshoot, maintain and improve app performance.
  • Comply with applicable legal requirements.

4. How information is shared

  • With PoolPro users: limited profile and ride information needed to offer, request and coordinate a shared ride.
  • With service providers: Google Sign-In and Firebase services may process authentication, database, storage and technical information. Mapping and device-location services may process map requests and selected locations.
  • For safety or legal reasons: when reasonably necessary to protect users, investigate misuse, respond to lawful requests or comply with law.
  • With your direction: when you explicitly choose to share information or authorize an action.
PoolPro does not sell personal information. We do not use ride or profile data for third-party advertising.

5. Data security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. Data is transmitted through secure network connections, and backend access is restricted using authentication and authorization controls. No electronic storage or transmission method is completely secure.

6. Data retention and deletion

We retain account and ride information while your account is active or as reasonably necessary to provide PoolPro, protect users, resolve disputes and meet legal obligations. After a verified deletion request, associated personal information is deleted or anonymized unless limited retention is required for security, fraud prevention or legal compliance.

7. Your choices and rights

  • Review and update available profile information in the app.
  • Control location and other permissions from device settings.
  • Choose what ride information you post or request.
  • Request access, correction or deletion by contacting us.
  • Stop future collection by signing out and uninstalling PoolPro.

8. Children's privacy

PoolPro is not directed to children under 18 and is intended for adults who can legally participate in ride-sharing arrangements. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Contact us if you believe a child has provided information to PoolPro.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when PoolPro features, data practices or legal requirements change. The revised policy will be published on this page with an updated effective date.
